Absilion's quality assurance of a network consists of three parts:

1. Theoretical study
2. Practical measurements in the operator's broadband network
3. If requested, delivery of Netrounds for continued high quality and network security, after the quality assurance has been carried out

Examples of properties that are tested for a network to be ready for IPTV, Internet, telephony are:

• Access security: Does the network meet the basic requirements for secure end-user connections?
• Performance: Does the network handle 300-700 Mbit/s IPTV service in combination with priority telephony and other traffic? Are packet delays and packet losses at a reasonable level?
• Functionality: Does the network manage to prioritize important traffic and multicast? Are required multicast functions activated?
• Availability: Is the network available equivalent to a maximum service disruption of 17.5 hours per year spread over a maximum four times?

In addition to the quality assurance of broadband networks before introduction of triple play services, we also perform pre-analysis of network connections before introducing services such as IP telephony and videoconferencing.
