The service includes access to an account on a hosted test server, combined with active measurement probes which generate real-world traffic in your network. Netrounds has support for multiple users, which means that several users in a team can cooperate and share measurement results. If you need assistance in your troubleshooting, you can easily engage a consultant remotely by allowing temporary external access to your Netrounds account.

Low power consumption

The active measurement probes are called Absilion Genalyzer and can be leased pre-installed on hardware provided by Absilion, or installed on your own hardware.

The hardware provided by Absilion has a small form factor of 16x16 cm (approx 6x6"), without moving parts for maximum reliability. Power consumption is modest 6 W.

For those who prefer using own hardware, Absilion provides free downloading of the complete Genalyzer software package for installation, still with high accuracy measurements.

No server installation needed

No installation is required in your IT environment since the centralized test server is hosted by Absilion or one of Absilion’s partners. The only requirement is that each Genalyzer has access to the Internet to be able to reach the test server using an encrypted connection. You are even able to locate the Genalyzer probes behind a firewall or NAT router, as long as outgoing connections are allowed. After signing up, you could be up and running the same day if you choose to install Genalyzer on your own hardware. If you choose to lease Absilion’s embedded hardware, these will be delivered directly to you. Netrounds is very easy to use. This means that you can get started without advanced training!
